Ravindra Jadeja’s cameo was cut short in dramatic fashion as New Zealand once again showcased their exceptional fielding skills in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 group match against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (March 2).
Facing Matt Henry, Ravindra Jadeja attempted a cut shot off a back-of-length delivery outside off but failed to keep it down. Kane Williamson, who was stationed at backward point, reacted swiftly, diving low to his left to complete a stunning catch with his left hand.
The ball was dipping fast, but Williamson’s sharp reflexes ensured Jadeja’s exit at a crucial juncture of the match in Dubai. India was already struggling to build momentum and was hit with yet another setback at the wrong time, as Jadeja walked back after scoring 16 off 20 balls against New Zealand.
