Batting first, the Gujarat team scored 204 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. Vijay Shankar scored the highest 63 runs from Gujarat. In contrast, Sai Sudarshan played an inning of 53 runs. Shubman Gill scored 39 runs, and Sunil Narine took three wickets while bowling for Kolkata. Suyash Sharma got one wicket.
Batting in reply, the Kolkata team won the match by scoring 207 runs. Kolkata batsman Rinku Singh won by hitting five sixes in the last over. Rinku Singh scored 48 off 21 balls. Captain Nitish Rana scored 45 runs, and Venkatesh Iyer scored the highest 83 runs from Kolkata.
Rashid Khan took three wickets while bowling for Gujarat. In contrast, Alzarri Joseph got two wickets. Joshua Little and Shami got 1 – 1 wickets.
