UP Warriors defeated Gujarat Gaints in the Women’s Premier League on Monday afternoon. With this win, UP Warriors have confirmed their place in the Women’s Premier League playoffs. Batting first in the match, the Gujarat Gaints team scored 178 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs. Gardner top-scored for Gujarat with 60 runs. Parshvi Chopra took Gardner’s wicket.
Hemlata scored 57 runs and was dismissed by Parshvi Chopra. Anjali Sarwani dismissed Wolvaardt after scoring 17 runs. For UP, Parshvi Chopra and Rajeshwari took two wickets each, while Anjali Sarvani and Sophie Ecclestone took one wicket each.
In response, the UP team came out to bat and won the Game by achieving 181 runs in 19.5 overs. Grace Harris top-scored for UP with 72, while Tahila McGrath scored 57. Kim Garth took two wickets for Gujarat, while Monika Patel, Gardner, Sneh Rana, and Tanuja Kanwar got one wicket each.
With this win, UP Warriors have sealed their place in the playoffs along with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
