Last evening the eliminator match of the Women’s Premier League was played between Mumbai Indians and UP Warriors, in which Mumbai beat UP Warriors by 72 runs. With this win, Mumbai has made it to the finals of the WPL. Now Mumbai will face Delhi Capitals in the final.
UP Warriors captain Healy won the toss and elected to bowl. Batting first, the Mumbai team scored 182 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. For Mumbai, Sciver Brunt scored the most unbeaten 72 runs. Amelia Kerr scored 29 runs. Captain Harmanpreet could only score 14 runs, while Hayley Mathews scored 26. Sophie took two wickets from UP, while Anjali and Parshvi took one wicket each.
In response, the UP team got all out for 110 runs after coming out to bat. Kiran Navagire scored the highest 43 runs from UP. Captain Haley was dismissed after scoring only 11 runs.
Mumbai bowler Wong took a hat-trick wicket in this match. Wong took four wickets in the game, Saika took two, and Sciver Brunt, Mathews, and Kalita took one wicket each.
