Last evening, the Women’s Premier League final match was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Mumbai defeated Delhi by seven wickets and won the first title of the WPL.
Delhi Capitals captain. Delhi team scored 131 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Captain Lanning scored the highest 35 runs from Delhi, while Shikha Pandey and Radha Yadav scored 27 runs each.
Wong and Mathews took three wickets each for Mumbai, while Amelia Kerr took two. In response, the Mumbai team came out to bat and won the match by losing three wickets and scoring 134 runs.
Siever Brunt scored the highest 60 not out from Mumbai, captain Harmanpreet scored 37 runs, and Radha Yadav and Jonnason took 1 – 1 wickets from Delhi.
